Welcome, Bienvenue, Aloha etc...

So I'm starting a blog... Apparently.
I've wanted to do something like this for a while and when better than on the eve of the eve of my month long trip to Asia.
It started in February when my boyfriend finally got news that he didn't get the placement at the genetics lab he's worked at previously (he's brainy like that). 
So, after more or less setting up the entire trip he approached me asking if I wanted to accompany him.  
Expressing that I wasn't fundamentally against the idea we began planning in ernest, culminating in the colourful conversation of asking my parents their thoughts on the matter..  
After getting their grudging seal of approval we booked the flights and reality started sinking in.
We're going to Asia.
Like actually though.
Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand to be specific. 
I'll make another post about the process of packing and planning exc, but for now this is basically just an announcement that I'm going to Asia and (hopefully) I'm going to be blogging / vlogging the trip as it happens.
My goal, and hopefully you all can keep me accountable, is to make a post documenting a part of the trip each day, and have a video up for each week.
