The Castle on the Hill - Prague Day 2 / 3

Sorry this blog post is also coming a day late just because I had a late night yesterday without a chance to sit down and write.  This post will cover yesterday and today's activities because I said so and I just want to get caught up.

Yesterday the main adventure we embarked on was to go explore the walled city which at it's centre held Prague Castle Keep.  It was a nice and toasty 28-30 degrees so after lathering myself up in sunscreen we headed across the Charles bridge and into the district of Malá Strana.
As this is one of the most tourist infested parts of Prague Jack and I packed a lunch rather than buying a super overpriced sandwich or whatever (and by super expensive I mean like 20 euro more than what you would pay elsewhere).  For the grand total of like five dollars I was able to buy a small bagette, chunk of cheese and salami.
If you're a student you get a reduced price off of the entrance fee to the castle so it was only 150 crowns each (which is about like 15ish Canadian dollars).  Prague I've realized is very much a visual touristy city.  By that I mean it has a lot of grand architecture which you are able to go walk up to and appreciate rather than spending a lot of time in museums.
Entering Prague Castle we were presented with two different "circuits" we were able to take however after some internet consultation we decided on the lesser expensive circuit-B.  It excluded one or two parts of the castle but unless you are a historian or architect the internet said you aren't really missing much.

But yeah, the views from Prague Castle are absolutely breathtaking.  It overlooks the city and as you walk you get a panoramic view.  Inside there are different exhibits but as I haven't read up on my medival / gothic architecture I'm sure most of the nuances eluded me.
Regardless it is a beautiful way to spend your day, 10/10 recommend.  The Castle has several different gardens attached to it and there's nothing better than sitting down and eating lunch in the shadow of a palace.

Around 3pm Jack decided he wanted to continue exploring the castle but at this point I was getting tired from the prolonged sun exposure and decided to head back to the AirBnb.
I guess I did stop for gelato (check out my instagram @ACollegeGay) which was amazing.
That night I chose to hangout with our hosts while Jack, using a level of extroversion I'd never expect from him, went out to a local gay club.

It was a late night for both of us in any case.

Day 3

As both of us had a super late night yesterday we slept in a bit later than usual (a.k.a noon).  With our last tourist day in Prague we used it to climb a nearby hill / mountain where they weirdly enough have a small version of the Eiffel Tower erected overlooking the city.  It was another scorching hot day today (around 30 Celsius) so obviously we chose the best time to climb up a mountain in direct sunlight.  Unfortunately I was stupid and didn't bring my wallet or anything besides my phone and Visa card which was inconvenient as the non-student entry fee to go up the tower was like 200 crown (20 Canadian dollars).  I opted to spend the 30 crown I did have (2 dollars) to get myself an ice cream instead.
(As of writing at 4pm) Tonight our AirBnb hosts have invited me / Jack to what is effectively a rave.  Jack has opted out but I'm pretty sure I'll be tagging along.  As I've never been to a rave before and as I'm not really one for using hard drugs this should prove to be rather interesting.  Apparently though it's like a "gay friendly" rave which effectively means it's a gay rave.
Wish me luck, I promise I'll come back with both my kidneys.
