Another Castle on a Hill? - Bratislava Edition
Turns out around Eastern Europe that is kind of a theme.
Although this may not be a standard vacation (by that I mean we aren't laying around on a beach all day) there has been a decent amount of sleeping in going on, which I am all for.
After our morning routine we decided to go check out Bratislava's main attraction which is the aptly named Bratislava Castle. For all intents and purposes it's like Prague Castle but on a smaller scale. Beautiful medival architecture but you're mostly up there for the view of the city and less to explore the building. On our little walking tour of the city we ended up passing by the presidents residence. Basically the "White House" for Bratislava.
There has been a lot of walking in Bratislava, more so than in the other cities we've gone to thus far. A lot of "go to the thing and see the thing and appreciate the thing" rather than spending the majority of your time in a museum. I'm fine with either honestly but as it's super sunny out a majority of the time some variety would be nice. I like being in the sun just not for extended periods (controversial opinion I know).
Anyway, off topic.
In the latter portion of the day we ended up heading to the local cinema and watching Wonder Woman. I may or may not write a proper review of it but in a nutshell I appreciate any movie with a strong female protagonist even if the plot was a bit cookie-cutter.
Tomorrow we pack our bags and head over to Budapest in Hungary.
See you there.
