Goodbye Vietnam, Hello Cambodia

Today was another morning of waking up early.  Instead of flying into Cambodia we decided to take a greyhound bus from Saigon to Phnom Penh (the capital of Cambodia) but that entailed leaving our hotel by 8am.  It was a major travel day for us because to bus into Cambodia takes 6.5 hours.  Luckily it was kind of spread out. It's two hours to the Vietnam border, an hour to get the paperwork sorted and then roughly three hours to downtown Phnom Penh.

Today was a bit of a rough day emotions wise for Jack and I.  We've been around one another every waking moment for the past three weeks and today tensions ran a bit high.  We acknowledged it though and discussed what was happening.  It's good to check in to see how things are doing because if you don't things can get messy really quick.  Not to say things are messy between Jack and I, they're totally fine I just mean that having an open dialogue is a healthy part of any relationship.

After checking into the hotel and getting settled we went on a quest to go find the phone store to get a SIM card.  Data and travelers plans are extremely cheap here so we both paid 5USD for 3.5 gigabytes of data.  Being able to reference google maps has been a life saver, especially in such a busy city.

We finished the day by having dinner in a restaurant overlooking the river.

Tomorrow I think we're off to see the killing fields and just walk around the city some more.

I don't know what's so exhausting about laying partially comatose on a bus for most of the day but I'm exhausted.  I'll leave this post just short and sweet.
