Me, Myself and Lush Cosmetics
So I'm going to say right off the bat that I have worked for Lush Cosmetics in the recent past.
I have a bit more of an inside look at the company (don't worry corporate I know I signed a non disclosure agreement) and I think I can genuinely talk about the products and their effects. I say genuinely just because if any of you have ever visited a Lush before you know how slightly overwhelming their customer experience can be.
So for this little intro segment I'm going to talk about two products, one mothers day exclusive and one discontinued.
The first (which is in the bath water) is called Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb.
The bath bombs at Lush are made of essential oils, sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and depending on the product things like coco-butter or lavender oil etc.
Rose Bombshell specifically is a very powerful, rose scented bomb which contains a handful of yellow petals inside. However when I say the smell is very powerful I don't mean "oh it'll make your bathroom smell good (which it will)"
I more mean that the day I bought it I only had the carrying bag that they gave me at the register so I had to put my phone and my leather wallet in the bag as well.
A few hours later when I got home I took my wallet out and to this day it's retained the rose absolute smell.
That was three weeks ago.
All that being said the concentration of essential oils dissipates nicely through the bath and lasts for an hour or two after you drain the water so unless you rub yourself (or your personal items) down with it you should be just fine.
The other product I have here is Vanilla Dee-lite Body Moisturizer. This is Lush's signature Vanillary scent. To me personally it smells like my mom just took a batch of cookies out of the oven. A really gentle (yet lasting) vanilla smell.
If, somehow, you are able to get your hands on this (If I'm correct they still have it in the Vanillary gift sets) its a really gentle, quick absorption body lotion that leaves you with smooth, vanilla scented skin.
